Egyptian Statue King Pharaoh Thutmose 111.
We believe that Thutmoses II had only one son Thutmoses III. But upon Thutmoses II's death,
His son was still very young, so Hatshepsut took advantage of the situation
by at first naming herself as regent, and then taking on the full regalia of the pharaoh.
This candleholder design was inspired from a statue of Thutmoses 111(1419-1386). It
shows the king kneeling on a base, offering to his god Ra.
